Second to last shares....

This is going to be strange in the next few weeks... not picking shares anymore. I have been really enjoying it - going out into the garden, and finding all sorts of yummy treasures. Today, I discovered some heritage yellow crookneck squash that I thought I had lost in the cold spring weather... and here they are teaming with lots and lots of little yellow warty squashes! They got no water or any care whatsoever all season long, and they are some of the healthiest plants! You eat them raw or cooked, just like a zucchini, but apparently are a little bit sweeter.

Even though share season is almost over, I will have kale, chard, parsley, mesculins, and lettuces available most of the winter. I can harvest anytime it's not frozen out. For myself, I am so looking forward to having fresh veggies all winter long. For anyone else wanting anything, just email me, and I'll pick it fresh for you whenever you want something!

This week:

Leeks    $3
Parsley   $2
Sage     $2
potatoes     $4
Red Russian Kale    $3
Westlandse Kale   $2
Yellow Crookneck Squash    $3
