Get all in season, fresh veggies for up to 20 weeks of the year! Makes an awesome and unique gift! All veggies picked fresh the day you receive them.
What to expect: Between 6 and 8 veggies each week for 20 weeks at just $25/week. Program starts June 1 and runs to October 12, 2022.
What can I expect? The short answer is what is in season at that particular time! It does vary from year to year, depending on weather patterns, etc. The start of the season in June, you can expect more greens (salad, kale, micro-greens, etc, plus root veggies such as radish and baby turnip, and usually the greenhouse snap peas are ready at this time. As you get into July, you can start to see summer squash, different herbs, the first carrots and beets, and as we get into summer there will be tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. Fall is more greens, winter squash, potatoes, root veggies, etc.
There are no guarantees with CSA... with a CSA program, you are taking part in the farmers' risk... if we have a cool, wet summer, you may see very few tomatoes for instance. It works opposite, as well... if we have an amazing tomato year, you will receive lots of them!
