Wow, I checked the calendar, and there are only 4 weeks left in the CSA shares program. That went by fassstttt! All in all, I think it was a good first year. There were some losses due to the wet, cold spring we had, but most of the crops did quite well. I've been planting like a demon for the last few months, and will have fresh mesculin, kale, purple sprouting broccoli, and various lettuces ready early in the spring. I have many, many more crops planned for next year, and my garden space has tripled since I started this spring, so there will be lots of room for all my plans!! I have already started a waiting list for the CSA shares next year. I only did 5 shares this year, as it was my 'learning' year. Next year, I will be doing 20 shares. I have already sold 7 of them, and I haven't even advertised yet! If you want on the waiting list, let me know sooner than later. I start advertising in January, and the contracts go out in March. It is a wonderful thing how so many more people are starting to buy fresh, local veggies, and supporting their local farms!
