CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. This is my first year as a CSA farm. I am spending the winter expanding the garden space, planting more fruit trees and berries, and generally trying to get ready for the spring and summer planting seasons. As of December 2009, I had 25 4x10' raised garden beds, and my goal is to have at least 50 beds by the beginning of planting in March. Over the last month, I have put in another 9 beds, and am working on it every day it doesn't rain! I am doing everything as sustainably as possible, and sometimes that means it takes a bit longer to get a project done.
Welcome to the Crazy Dog Farm! This is where you can bring your dog for an in-home boarding experience, or for daycare to have a crazy good time. Also on the farm are Certified Naturally Grown produce, chickens and eggs grown. It's a busy place, and there is never a dull day! I am Kelly Grainger, owner and operator of the Crazy Dog Farm. It has always been my dream to own land, and to make a living off that land, and I am finally on the road to achieving this. I hope to update this blog weekly, tell you of all our adventures, and to keep my CSA members aprised of what is happening in the gardens.
